About
Dr. Irene Tam is a Board Certified Periodontist who specializes in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of periodontal diseases, and the surgical placement and long term maintenance of dental implants. Dr.Tam completed 4 years of General Dentistry training and 3 years of Post-Doctoral Periodontics & Implant Surgery Residency training at UCLA.
She graduated summa cum laude in her dental school class, and was elected to membership in Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the prestigious national Dental Honor Society. Recently, Dr.Tam became a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, by passing a rigorous written and oral examination process.
Dr.Tam is a Clinical Faculty at the Pasadena City College Dental Hygiene Program, where she teaches hygiene students about the importance of preventing and treating periodontal disease.
On a personal note Dr Tam enjoys scrapbooking and crafts; she is currently hand making her wedding invitations and ceremony programs.
